podcast dins of his commitment with one of the technological partners of the European project UnaLab, whose main objective is to apply solutions based on the natural environment of the cities participating in the project and in order to avoid effects caused by climate change, has traveled to Prague to attend the Consortium meetings that have been held. on May 29 and Dimecres 30. During the meeting they were able to exchange and debate various ideas to solve problems related to flooding, waste water management, new forms of landscape construction and improvement of air quality that are currently affecting cities, as well as review and work on the methodology in which it is working and which will finally be applied to the cities of Tampere, Genoa and Eindhoven.
This European project has been launched since June 2017 and is expected to end in May 2022. It consists of 28 European partners and 2 international observers, and various materials and guides will also be produced so that all cities that want to apply solutions based on nature They have a basis that has been previously studied and tested.
It is worth mentioning that during these years, co-creation and promotion activities have been carried out with the “Living Labs” in which Espaitec has actively participated. Furthermore, it is also notable that a tour has been carried out in which solutions applied to the city of Prague have been visited and in which the municipal government is working hard so that these measures achieve positive effects that help improve the quality of life and avoid as much as possible the climatic changes in the cities.
Finally, it should be noted that in the general assembly it has been announced that the UnaLab project meetings will be held next November and the triad city will be Castelló, specifically in the Espaitec facilities, with delegations from all of them participating. European cities that are involved in the project will sponsor a tree between many of the other activities that will be programmed.
