The guide, aimed mainly at government officials related to innovation, is also recommended for agents of change, companies, universities and civil society organizers, as it talks about cities and citizens, regardless of their geographical location.
The document aims for all the agents involved to have a common perspective, seeing cities as a space in which to innovate jointly and collaboratively, so that in the near future all our cities are smart cities and, most importantly, sustainable.
Among the examples of good practices, we find the e'LivingLab by espaitec. A project launched in 2010 to convert the Riu Sec campus of the Universitat Jaume I in a smart campus that would give way to the smart city of Castellón. A space within the University where co-creation, co-thinking and co-design gradually offers solutions for constant improvement for the university community and, by extension, Castellón society.
