The Association of Scientific and Technological Parks of Spain (APTE) is the driving force behind the initiative to promote scientific and technological professions

On November 12, Espaitec organizes a day within the framework of the 7th edition of Science and Technology in Feminine, an initiative promoted by the Association of Science and Technology Parks of Spain (APTE) which targets young female audiences with scientific and technological vocations, also known as STEAM for its acronym in English (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).

During the session, the students of IES Bovalar from Castellón will be able to learn about the experiences of outstanding women in STEAM professions. Among the participants are Emma Moliner, industrial engineer from the Jaume I University and PhD from the Polytechnic University of Valencia; Agueda Gomez, PhD in Computer Science, graduate in Video Game Design and Development and Master in Intelligent Systems from the Universitat Jaume I; and Raquel Martín, a graduate in Criminology and Security from the Universitat Jaume I and a Mundus Master in Geospatial Technologies from the Institute for Geoinformatics at the University of Münster.

The day will also include active participation by students in two workshops focused on scientific and technological topics, in order to bring them closer to the world of innovation in a practical and motivating way.

Science and Technology in Feminine

The program Science and Technology in Feminine APTE aims to promote scientific and technological vocations, in order to increase the choice of studies and professions in these fields among young women in the future. To this end, APTE has the collaboration of scientific and technological parks that are members of the association, spread throughout Spain, which participate in the work plan to be developed, providing the action with coverage and impact at a national level.

The programme is aimed at students from 1st to 4th year of compulsory secondary education and consists of a series of days held in the participating science and technology parks in which students can visit exhibitions, participate in science and technology workshops, as well as in a national competition, and receive two illustrated guides on studies and career opportunities for all girls who are interested in studying science and technology degrees.

La day held at Espaitec has the support of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Universities and Employment.
