UNaLab, the European Project in which Espaitec, Scientific and Technological Park of the UJI participates, at the expense of the Castelló City Council, celebrates the second general assembly and workshops in virtual sessions through webinars due to the coronavirus pandemic. COVID-19. These virtual sessions are held from December 24 to November 27, 2020. The UNaLab project, which aims to help make the city greener and less polluted, is trying to install Natural Based Solutions (NBS) in participating cities. In short, it is intended to contribute to better, more inclusive and sustainable development of urban communities through a change and implementation in the following Natural-Based Solutions. To this end, various purposes are being developed through co-creation between stakeholders and citizens. These proposals are being implemented in the leading cities, but later the unnamed “follower cities” can replicate the model with success. The three cities that lead the project, Eindhoven, Tampere and Genoa, are experimenting through the establishment of demonstration sites and the Urban Living Lab (ULL) a range of different solutions based on nature that address urban challenges related to both. the climate and the water. The leading cities actively collaborate and share their experiences with their following cities: Castellón, Stavanger, Prague, Cannes, Başakşehir, Hong Kong and Buenos Aires. Finally, it should be noted that there are also two cities that act as observers, which are Guangzhou and the Brazilian Network of Intelligent Cities. The results sought in this project will allow us to create a European reference framework on the benefits of including natural solutions in cities. Furthermore, they allow us to analyze the profitability, economic viability and replicability of the actions taken. In short, UNaLab aims to guide all cities in Europe and other continents in the implementation of co-creativity in Natural-Based Solutions. espaitec green city NBS Alejandro ColonquesAuthor posts PrevNext
