On September 30, the “I Day to Promote the Creation of Spin-Off UJI”, promoted by the Vice-rector for Research and Transfer of the Universitat Jaume I. The conference is organized by Espaitec, Parc Científic i Tecnològic of the UJI, and is financed by the Valencian Innovation Agency (AVI), through its line of action aimed at Supporting Innovative Entrepreneurship.
The objective of this virtual day, framed in the project Tech2Business, es make the research staff of the Universitat Jaume I aware of the possibilities offered by the creation of a Spin-Off, a business initiative promoted by members of the university community, based on the knowledge generated and research results.
Program of the Day
The program includes topics related to the administrative procedures that you have to follow to establish your company, as well as subsidies or aid which they can access to create their Spin-Off company. In this part, they will participate Ismael Rodrigo, Director of the Office of Cooperation in Research and Technological Development of the UJI (OCIT), and Mª José Tomás, technique of Center for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI).
The director of Espaitec, Juan Antonio Bertolin, will share with attendees the different support programs for business creation that the park develops. Successful Spin-Off companies such as Expander Tech (Jaume I University), bioinitiate (University of Valencia) and Iquarobotics (University of Girona). Representatives of these companies will also share their experience in the start-up, growth and development of their initiatives.
EAt the event, the “Quick Guide” for the creation of university Spin-Offs will be presented, a guide aimed at research personnel, both consolidated and in training, on the steps that must be followed to launch a business project, based on results. of research capable of generating innovation.
