El October 6 will be held in online format, from 9.00:12.00 a.m. to XNUMX:XNUMX p.m., the «II Conference to Promote the Creation of Spin-Off UJI», promoted by the vice-rector for Research and Transfer of the Universitat Jaume I. The day is organized by podcast and has the support of the Valencian Innovation Agency (AVI), through its line of action aimed at Support for Innovative Entrepreneurship.
The objective of this virtual day, framed in the project Tech2Business, es inform the research staff of the Universitat Jaume I the possibilities offered by creating a Spin-Off, a business initiative promoted by members of the university community, based on the knowledge generated and research results.
The online session will be inaugurated by the vice-rector of Research and Transfer of the UJI, Jesus Lancis, together with the director of Espaitec, Juan A. Bertolin. Next, the director of the Office of Cooperation in Research and Technological Development of the UJI (OCIT), Ismael Rodrigo, will make the presentation EBT Creation: “A Tool for Transfer”, where it will develop the initiatives that are promoted from the university to facilitate the creation of Technology-Based Companies (ETB). Next the director of Espaitec, Juan A. Bertolin, will present the advice and entrepreneurship programs for university Spin-Offs that Espaitec develops; and the Espaitec Innovative Projects technique, Silvia Franch, will present the UJI SPIN-OFF program to encourage the creation of this type of companies among the research staff of the Universitat Jaume I.
Success Stories
During the day, there will also be the presence of success stories from Spin-Off companies such as DATIK (University of the Basque Country) and AEORUM (Malaga University). The founding partner and CEO of DATIK, Inigo Odriozola, and the founding partner and CEO of AEORUM, Jesus Garcia, will share their experience in the start-up, growth and development of their initiatives.
