During the APTE Innovation Spaces day, attendees will be able to visit the Espaitec FabLab, the Image Technologies Demonstrator, the Green Hydrogen Demonstrator and the CIRTESU Demonstrator.

Espaitec joins the state initiative on November 8 APTE Innovation Spaces organized by Association of Science and Technology Parks of Spain (APTE)The event is aimed at companies, research staff, administrations and the university community interested in exploring these key infrastructures for scientific and technological development.

During the day, Espaitec will open the doors of four advanced spaces of technological innovation of the Jaume I University (UJI).

Espaitec FabLab

El Espaitec FabLab is a prototyping laboratory that houses various digital manufacturing machines such as filament and resin 3D printers, 3D scanners, laser cutters and large-format CNC machines, among others. Through the FabLab, the university community of the Universitat Jaume I can manufacture prototypes or custom parts to develop projects related to the university.

INIT demonstrator

The demonstrator of the University Institute of New Imaging Technologies (INIT) is an environment where virtual and augmented reality are used as tools for practical learning. There are six spaces whose service can be applied to sectors such as medicine, industry, education or sports, among others. For example, through virtual simulation, medical practices such as orotracheal intubation or lumbar puncture can be carried out, as well as industrial practices such as aircraft engine repair, avoiding physical risks and high machinery costs.

INAM Green Hydrogen Demonstrator

You can also visit the Green Hydrogen demonstrator of the Advanced Materials University Institute (INAM), which allows hydrogen to be produced and stored using solar photovoltaic energy. This demonstrator makes it possible to visualise how the business sector can benefit from clean energy, improving industrial processes and facilitating the energy transition to reduce decarbonisation.

CIRTESU Agitator Systems Demonstrator

The Agitator Systems Demonstrator of the Research Centre for Robotics and Underwater Technology (CIRTESU) The centre has been created with the aim of optimising the operation of water treatment plants through real tests carried out at the centre's facilities. This space is aimed at technology companies that develop drivers and instrumentation for their characterisation, as well as management companies in the water sector and other areas, such as the chemical or maritime industry, that implement them in their activity.

Registration

To participate it is necessary to write an email to espaitec@espaitec.uji.es indicating the innovation space you wish to visit. The Espaitec team will then contact the registered participants to organise the visiting groups.

APTE Innovation Spaces

The event is part of the APTE Innovation Spaces project, which seeks to enhance the value of 39 innovative infrastructures distributed in 16 science and technology parks throughout Spain. This initiative aims to strengthen the Spanish innovation ecosystem by promoting Unique Scientific and Technical Infrastructures (ICTS) and spaces dedicated to experimentation and technological development.
