«Innotransfer»
Regarding the project «Innotransfer»The two days of events held this year were highlighted, where disruptive technologies, challenges, and innovative solutions being implemented in the management of extreme climate emergencies, and in urban planning and infrastructure resilient to adverse weather events, were analyzed, with the participation of companies and researchers. Innotransfer is a multi-sectoral open innovation and collective management initiative led by the five Valencian public science parks, which are part of the Network of Valencian Science Parks (rePCV), and allows companies or business associations that have technological challenges to solve in their industry to be put in contact with research staff from Valencian public universities, technological institutes or other companies that can offer a solution.
Espaitec has also been the organizing park of the "VII rePCV Awards"This initiative, promoted by the Valencian Science Parks Network (rePCV), which belongs to the Valencian public universities, aims to recognize companies linked to the Parks in the following categories. The following describes one of the activities linked to the project: the development of demonstrators that showcase the scientific and technological capabilities of Universitat Jaume I. This year, funding has been provided for the expansion of the hydrogen demonstrator designed by the Institute of Advanced Materials (INAM-UJI) and a new demonstrator for the Center for Research in Robotics and Underwater Technology (CIRTESU-UJI)The CIRTESU-UJI demonstrator is designed to optimize the operation of water treatment systems, allowing companies to conduct tests in a real-scale, controlled environment. The INAM-UJI demonstrator, on the other hand, generates green hydrogen using an electrolyzer powered by photovoltaic cells. This hydrogen can be stored in an 850-liter tank at a pressure of 6 bar and converted into electricity via a fuel cell.
On the other hand, the initiative «UJI.>LAB Impuls», led by Research and Transfer Management Service (SEGIT-UJI), in which Espaitec actively collaborates in the coordination and support of proof of concept projects of the different research groups of the Universitat Jaume I, which this year have reached a total of 7 proposals.
