This Thursday the day was held Innotransfer «Agrarian Revolution with Disruptive Technologies», Where the Joined Llauradora and Ramadera and Spanish Association for the Digitalization of Agriculture (AgroTech Spain), Together with companies from the primary sector, technological institutes and research groups, they have reflected on disruptive technologies, specifically on artificial intelligence and digitalization, challenges and innovative solutions that are revolutionizing the way in which agricultural processes. The implementation of cutting-edge technology in agriculture is allowing decision-making based on real and accurate data, making agricultural production more sustainable, profitable and resilient to climate and environmental challenges.
The deputy director general of Advancement for the Digital Society and Artificial Intelligence, Francis Xavier Sogorb, the director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship of the Universitat Jaume I, Marisa Flor, together with the director of Espaitec, Juan Antonio Bertolin, have inaugurated the day. In this sense, Sogorb has highlighted “the role of parks as determining actors in the generation of innovation.” “Likewise, we are at a time when disruptive technologies are revolutionizing many aspects,” he stated.
For his part, Flor has pointed out that this Innotransfer conference is a space to debate the needs, challenges and solutions that are being developed in the agricultural sector and thus obtain avenues for collaboration between companies, research centers and universities.
The session began with the presentation on the digitalization of the Valencian agricultural sector, by the person in charge of the Exploitation Notebook Service of the Unió Llauradora y Ramadera, Richard Ballester, who has presented the needs of the sector in terms of digitalization. Thus, the entity claims 5G islands, improved communication, connectivity for irrigation and digitalized scales, among others.
Next, the president of AgroTech Spain intervened, Ivan Lütolf, with its presentation about artificial intelligence applied to citrus, specifically, the success stories PreHLB, SensoPlag and CitriAforo. Thus, Lütolf has presented the possibilities that AI offers in the sector, highlighting the technologies that are used to capture data as well as the technologies to analyze data, which allows for descriptive and predictive analysis.
The event continued with the round table "Technological Firms transforming Agriculture", with the participation of Christian Rodriguez, CEO and CTO of Ambimetrics; Isidro FernandezCEO Boomerang Robotics; Santiago CasesCEO Asdron Spain; next to Candido Esteban, partner of GEA Biotechnology. In this sense, the firms have presented various technologies that they have used such as drones, which allow topographic mapping and knowing the status of the plants, and ecological robots used for weeding.
The day progressed with the round table "Agrarian Technology and Research in the Valencian Community", in which participants Raul Montoliu, coordinator of the group in Applied Artificial Intelligence and Data Analysis of the Institute of New Image Technologies (INIT UJI); Jose Blasco, coordinator of the Agroengineering Center of the Valencian Institute of Agrarian Research (IVIA), and Raul Hussein, responsible for the Advanced Data Analysis Services department of the Informatics Technological Institute (ITI).
Once the round tables are over, Laura Menendez, Manager Innotransfer at Espaitec, has given a practical presentation about the «Innotransfer Challenge Platform», in which any company or entity with a presence in the Valencian Community can propose a technological and innovative challenge to be solved by the research staff of the Valencian public universities and the network of REDIT Technological Institutes.
To close the day, he intervened Juan Antonio Bertolin, director of Espaitec, who has presented the Espaitec Technological Observatory to analyze the latest trends in disruptive technologies through a series of reports.

Innotransfer is a multi-sector initiative of open innovation and collective management that aims to promote the transfer of knowledge and technology, developed by the scientific and technological parks of the Valencian Community, to the business ecosystem of our territory in key economic sectors such as Sustainable Habitat; Agri-food; Sustainable Mobility and Automotive; Enabling Technologies; Health; Infrastructures; and Smart Tourism.
The main business associations, the Valencian public universities and the network of REDIT Technological Institutes participate in the Innotransfer forum, which is coordinated by the Network of Valencian Science Parks (REPCV) and financed by the Department of Innovation, Industry, Commerce and Tourism of the Valencian Generalitat. This initiative aims to promote dialogue between researchers and companies in the Valencian Community through the catalytic action of the intermediate structures of the public-private research ecosystem and the Valencian business ecosystem.
