The initiative is organized by four students from the University: two in business, one in advertising and one in journalism. Above all, it is an alternative that the Jaume I university community proposes another way of facing the world of work: entrepreneurship. In addition, other iWeekends will take place on these same dates in Valencia and Madrid.
Although the idea is the same as the recent iWeekend Castellón, in a university iWeekend, like the one at the UJI, the innovation comes from the fact that it is an event for university students and created by university students.
The iWeekend UJI is a totally innovative proposal in substance and form, it brings together a group of university students interested in entrepreneurship. In a single weekend, participants will present their business projects, choose the best and put all their effort and enthusiasm into making the ideas come true. All under the advice of mentors of the highest level in their specialties. Thus, on Sunday night, the two new start-ups ready to go into operation can be presented.
Any interested student can participate either by presenting their own project or simply working side by side with university classmates who also want to learn in a practical way how to create a company. Registrations can be made through the website http://iweekend.org/uni/castellon and will cost €20 per person.
