Espaitec will organize the Innotransfer conference "Challenges and Innovative Solutions in Climate Emergency Management" on Thursday, October 16, to promote cooperation between universities, companies, and public administrations in climate emergency management.

podcast will hold a new edition of the forum Innotransfer, Thursday October 16th from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.s, to reflect on the Main challenges in managing extreme weather emergencies in the Valencian Community, such as floods, fires and droughts, and in turn, present prediction, prevention and management solutions that contribute to strengthening the resilience of our territory. Participating in the session will be José Quereda, professor emeritus of Climatology at the UJI; the companies Hydrens, Pyro Fire Extinction, ALVOL Drone Solution y naria; next to Pablo Salas, Director of Educational Innovation Group Problem-Based Clinical Teaching (ECLIBAP-UJI) y Pedro José Sanz, coordinator of Center for Research in Robotics and Underwater Technologies (CIRTESU-UJI), which constitutes an excellent opportunity for interaction and collaboration between expert professionals in the field of emergencies, specialized companies and applied research groups.

The day will reflect on how The Valencian Community can strengthen its response to increasingly frequent extreme events, such as floods, fires or heat waves.New prevention strategies, inter-institutional coordination, digitalization of emergency management, and territorial resilience will also be discussed. Additionally, projects in sensorization, artificial intelligence, and early warning systems, benchmarks in climate innovation and sustainable civil protection, developed in the Valencian Community, will be presented.

during session Innotransfer Possible development scenarios will be agreed upon to offer responses to the challenges identified in specific development proposals, with the aim of offering responses to each of the identified challenges through research, innovation and knowledge transfer. Innotransfer It is a multi-sector initiative of open innovation and collective management that aims to promote the transfer of knowledge and technology, developed by the Valencian science and technology parks, to the business ecosystem of our territory in key economic sectors such as Sustainable Habitat; Agri-food; Sustainable Mobility and Automotive; Enabling Technologies; Health; Infrastructures; and Smart Tourism. During 2025, the program has launched a series of specific forums to offer innovative solutions in the post-DANA recovery of Valencia.
