La Universitat Jaume I i theSagunt Town Hall han celebrate, hui dimecres november 25, the «II UJI Innovation Conference – Empreses», in online format. From the Saló de Plens of the Sagunt City Council, the mayor Darius Moreno, has inaugurated the act at the expense of the deputy vice-rector of Transfer, Innovation and Entrepreneurship of the UJI, David Cabedo. In the day coordinated by podcast they have participated 9 companies from the Sagunt area at the expense of 18 research groups from the Universitat Jaume I.

Moreno has highlighted that it is «It is essential that the university addresses the problems that the business sector faces in order to focus its research resources on improving the competitiveness of companies and the resilience of the territory, for which reason, the Antenes de Transferència program is very positive for to this primordial objective. Cabedo, per part seua, has highlighted that «This act demonstrates that in times of pandemic it is possible to do important things in innovation, highlighting the importance of innovation to overcome this difficult stage». It was also highlighted that 9 companies and 18 UJI research groups participated in the event.

Development of the Day

After the inauguration, Ismael Rodrigo, director of theOffice of Cooperation in Research and Technological Development of the UJI, has presented the paper «Cap to the transfer of the connection. Financing projects d'R+D+i in col·laboració Company-University». Next Ursula Perez, Data Scientist en Ampere Energy, Emilio Pérez, member of the research group EEE (Electrical, Electronic and Automatic) of the UJI have exposed the unique experience of university-company collaboration in the framework of the projects developed jointly. Juan A. Bertolin, manager of the General Foundation of the UJI, has donated money to the meetings One to One programs between research groups and companies.

New companies from the Sagunt area have participated in the virtual forums: Aleson ITC, Explore Sagunt, Map Spontex Iberian, Kimer, important, Lafarge Holcim, Saggas, GDX Group (Beacon) i Ampere Energy (Puçol). The day s'emmarca dins del projecte Connection Transfer Antennas, dut a terme per la Fundació General de l'UJI, responsible for the management of Espaitec, and finançat per l'Valencian Agency for Innovation (AVI), through the agreement of Impulses of the Transfer of Knowledge and Technology between Universitat and Business and support of Innovative Entrepreneurship signed with the scientific parks of the Valencian Community.
