La Universitat Jaume I and the Vinaròs Town Hall have celebrated, today, Monday, November 30, the «II UJI Innovation Conference – Companies», in online format. From the center Vinalab of the city, the Councilor for Finance, Industry and Employment, Maria Cano, inaugurated the event together with the deputy vice-rector for Transfer, Innovation and Entrepreneurship of the UJI, david cabedo.
Cano has thanked «to the Universitat Jaume I and the Transfer Antennas project for promoting collaboration with the northern headquarters to connect with companies in the Vinaròs area, also to Espaitec and Juan Antonio Bertolín for coordinating the celebration of the day, together with the Valencia Innovation Agency (AVI) for its financing». He also thanked «the research groups and participating companies for positively valuing this event to explore opportunities for collaboration in R&D&i».
CabedoFor his part, he also began by thanking «to the Valencian Innovation Agency (AVI), the Vinaròs City Council and the Vinalab center for their collaboration in the Transfer Antennas project», continuing to highlight that «this II UJI-Business Innovation Conference is a new opportunity to offer all the knowledge that is generated at the Universitat Jaume I in order to achieve joint collaborations between companies and research groups at the UJI». Both have agreed on the desire to continue these days of innovation and knowledge transfer in the future.
Development of the Day
Once the day was inaugurated, the presentation of Ismael Rodrigo, Director of the Office of Cooperation in Research and Technological Development of the UJI has presented the presentation «Towards the transfer of knowledge. Financing R&D&i projects in Company-University collaboration». Juan A. Bertolin, Manager General Foundation of the UJI and director of podcast, has briefly explained the methodology to be followed in the meetings One to One programmed between UJI research groups and companies in the Vinaròs area.
Ten companies from the Vinaròs area participated in the virtual meetings: Benassal water, The grass, Mg, Benimar, Carp, Alespri, Bipolaire Architects, Cemex, Maverick y My Architect. Regarding the research groups of the Universitat Jaume I have intervened IMK (Marketing Innovation); Manufacturing Engineering; INAM (Advanced Materials Institute); MASF (Materials for Advanced Sustainable Manufacturing); PIMA (Advanced Polymers and Materials); INIT (University Institute of New Image Technologies); EEE (Electrical, Electronic and Automatic); QSS (Sustainable and Supramolecular Chemistry), TKGB (Temporal Knowledge Bases Group); IRIS (Systems Research and Reengineering); TECASOS (Technology, Quality and Sustainability in Construction); Q.I.M.A. (Environmental Inorganic Chemistry and Ceramic Materials) and Chair 4.0.
The day is framed within the project Knowledge Transfer Antennas, carried out by the General Foundation of the Jaume I University, responsible for the management of podcast, and financed by the Valencian Innovation Agency (AVI), through the agreement to Promote the Transfer of Knowledge and Technology between University and Company and support for Innovative Entrepreneurship signed with the science parks of the Valencian Community.
