Three challenges for ages to directly experience the excitement of building and programming robots playing as a team. A Children's Hackathon with the collaboration of Robotix Lego Education, that is the new proposal of Hackathon Castellón for its second edition, which will be held from September 29 to October 1 in the Sports Pavilion of the Universitat Jaume I. The meeting of programmers, in which participants will have the possibility of winning 3.000 euros in prizes in addition to enjoying a fun weekend with parallel activities, has already opened its registration and has also closed its complete program of talks, with the participation of top-level experts.
Through Robotix Castellón's educational robotics pedagogical model, which seeks for the little ones to learn while having fun while appreciating the value of science, the Castellón Hackathon proposes an original morning activity on Saturday, September 30 at the UJI Sports Center. Participants will form groups of 3-5 years old, 6-8 and 9-16 so that, in challenges of varying complexity, they can test their manual, psychomotor, mathematical and, above all, interaction and teamwork skills. Even the older ones will know the programming bases to move and control a robot.
The Children's Hackathon reinforces the objective of its promoters: to promote the collaborative development of software and hardware to generate an ecosystem of innovation and creativity that contributes to positioning Castellón as a national and international benchmark. Thus, the initiative of Nayar Systems, IoTsens and Cuatroochenta also has the support this year of PaynoPain and Networking Directives Castellón, as well as Focus Pyme, an initiative that encompasses the agents of the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the Valencian Community, as one of its events of territorial and sectoral dynamization.
Hackathon Castellón participants will share knowledge through six challenges based on the creation of apps, video games, artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things. To help them and complete the experience, the organization has scheduled 23 specialized talks at the Tech Corner throughout the weekend, among which those by Pedro Bisbal, mentor of the business promoter Blast Off Partners, director of the Business Network, stand out. Angels InnoBAN in Valencia and renowned trainer in different business schools; David Rodríguez and Marco Domingo from Catnnes Game Studios, creators of Hive, a futuristic video game developed in Castellón selected by PlayStation; or the nutritionist Pilar Esquer, who will explain "how to feed the brain."
The second edition of the programmers' meeting will also feature recreational activities, such as the After Work party on Friday the 29th by BetaBeers or the Comic Book Show costume party on Saturday the 30th, which will have a high-end smartphone for the photo as a prize. that more interaction gets on social networks.
