Foodration4all, a company installed in Espaitec and winners of the first edition of the social entrepreneurship program UJI Empren OnSocial, promotes the project «No one without his daily ration», an innovative socially conscious initiative that digitizes the current food donation process.
The innovative digital food donation system, “Nobody Without Their Daily Ration,” was implemented in the Consumer Supermarkets during the «Great Food Collection 2020» throughout the province of Castellón, obtaining great results. «It was the acid test and we have passed it satisfactorily» declared Kilian Zaragozá, CEO of Foodration4all and promoter of the project.
During the week of «Great Food Collection 2020», from November 16 to 22, Nearly 50.000 euros were collected, which translates into a total of more than 2.300 donations so far, through the mobile App and the active totem. These funds collected were allocated in their entirety, the system's blockchain platform certifies this, to the Castellón Food BankWho will be in charge of managing and distributing them in wallet cards from the Consum supermarket chain to more than 250 families who are in need of receiving food aid in the province of Castellón.
The project team «No one without his daily ration», appreciates the support and collaboration of all companies, individuals and local and provincial institutions. All of them have been key actors in being able to disseminate and communicate the correct functioning of this pioneering and avant-garde donation method. «We are facing a paradigm shift in the field of food donation, and the reception by donors and users has been very good. They have understood the message and the operation of the project, and everyone has felt involved in this change», highlighted Kilian Zaragozá.
From Spanish Federation of Food Bank (FESBAL), it was decided to extend the period of the campaign "Great Food Collection 2020" until December 13 due to the current situation derived from Covid-19; Therefore, remember that you can still continue collaborating in this social initiative.
The “Nobody Without Their Daily Ration” platform has already collected more than 2020 euros since its launch at the end of August 60.000. Which are being distributed in full in wallet cards among people in need throughout the province. The “Nobody Without Their Daily Ration” system was born to be present 365 days a year, 24/7, and in this way, avoid urgent and specific collection campaigns; and thus continue helping the thousands of people in need every day.
The “Nobody Without Their Daily Ration” project will continue virtually from the application, and also physically until the end of the year. It will also be located in the Consum supermarket in Onda and in Avenida Francia in Vila-Real. All donations will benefit the Castellón Food Bank.
