The Science Park of the University of Valencia held the workshop “Experiències in responsible innovation: an opportunity for the Valencian science parks” which aims to donate to establish the Responsible Research and Innovation model (RRI in English) promoted by the European Union with the objective that technological developments and advances in innovation respond to the needs, expectations and values ​​of society, so that innovation companies and citizens benefit and enrich each other. The workshop will be held on November 20, 2019, from 12 to 14 p.m., in the training room of the Science Park of the University of Valencia with free entry after registration.

The workshop will address, through dynamic activities, the concept of RRI and the classes and opportunities it offers to companies. With the aim of donating an applied vision of the benefits of responsible research, the results of the participation project and dialogue with the society developed at the Scientific, Technological and Business Park of the Universitat Jaume I (Espaitec) will be explained. Hugo Ferrer, CEO of the company specializing in the design of conversational platforms SemanticBots, will explain how the RRI actions developed have led the company to rethink its innovation strategy, opening the way to our products that are more aligned with the environment. real necessities of some col·lectius.

The workshop will also explain the results achieved by the three other participating companies: Cuatroochenta, developing mobile applications and other digital transformation products; Zeus Smart Visual Data, a company that offers solutions that unify massive data sources and capture them in multiple panels to have a complete view of the information at real time through dashboards; i Kryptonite Project, specialized in the development of R&D activities in the food sector. The workshop will be run by the researchers of the project Rosana Sanahuja and Alicia Andrés.

The session is part of the project «Experiències in responsible innovation: an opportunity for the Valencian scientific parks» financed by the Department of Innovation, Universities, Science and Digital Society of the Generalitat Valenciana, and developed by the Vice-rectorate of Research and Transfer from the Universitat Jaume I through the Scientific Culture and Innovation Unit of the Communication and Publications Service.
