Cryptocurrencies, like Bitcoin, represent a paradigm shift in the way we understand money. Digital money with a decentralized model is arriving with force and promises to change the world, just as the arrival of the internet did. Within the DeTalks cycle, Guillem Sorolla, pioneer in the creation of companies and blogs related to Bitcoin in Spain, will offer the «Bitcoin: technological leap in payment systems» conference on Thursday, May 19, 2016, at 19:00 p.m., in the Assembly Hall of the Postgraduate and Continuing Training Center of the Universitat Jaume I, trying to answer questions such as what cryptocurrencies are, what they are for and how they work .
Guillem Sorolla has a broad and varied training, ranging from art to computing and electronics. With all this knowledge he decided to get to work to share this much-needed information to anyone who wants to enter the world of the blockchain. After entering the Bitcoin world by creating the first Cloud Mining company in Spain, and one of the first to be founded in the world, he is taking advantage of his entrepreneurial spirit for his second online project, Zero Block, a news portal about Bitcoin in Spanish.
