These awards, which will hold their event at the Science Park of the University of Alicante (UA), recognize the best startup, spin-off and university-company collaboration among all the companies that make up the ecosystems of the science park network of the Valencian public universities
The next Tuesday, December 20, at 12.30:XNUMX p.m., the Alicante Science Park (PCA) will host the IV edition of the awards ceremony rePCV Awards, an event organized annually by the Network of Valencian Science Parks (rePCV), which brings together the five science parks promoted by the five Valencian public universities.
The main objective of these awards is to recognize and reward the activity of entrepreneurial and business initiatives based on their growth, innovative nature, business strategy and contribution to the environment. The awards have a total of three categories: Spin-off award, Start-up award y Company-University collaboration award. In the first of them, the aim is to recognize companies promoted by Teaching and Research Personnel (PDI), doctors or doctoral students that have been created from the exploitation of research results and that are linked to any of the Valencian science parks. .
The category Start-up award It is aimed at innovative companies promoted by students or alumni of any of the Valencian public universities. These companies must be located or linked to any of the Valencian science parks and the Business-University collaboration awards It is aimed at companies that participate with any of the Valencian public universities in R&D programs and/or projects whose results have contributed to establishing a close and continued relationship of collaboration, as well as to the development of the Valencian economy. The event will feature representatives from both the Department of Innovation, Universities, Science and Digital Society and the Valencian Innovation Agency and of one's own University of Alicante (UA), in addition to the managers of the five Valencian science parks.
The event will also have an exceptional speaker. Alejandro Vesga, CEO and director of Emprendedores magazine. Vesga has been an economics journalist since 1988. He has directed Emprendedores magazine since 1997, the year it was launched. He was responsible for the conception of this means of communication and its development and diversification in the 20 years of the product's life, with the opening of new business lines (digital transformation of the magazine, book publishing, TV programs, event development , advice to companies and institutions, support for entrepreneurship programs of public and private institutions, etc.
The magazine Entrepreneurs She has been a pioneer in the Spanish entrepreneurial ecosystem and the position she holds has allowed her to deeply understand the world of business creation and management, as well as its main protagonists.
