La Universitat Jaume I The ninth edition of the program has begun UJIStartup with the participation of 30 entrepreneurial projects promoted by members of the university community. This initiative is driven by the Vice-Rectorate for Innovation, Transfer and Scientific Dissemination, through Espaitec and the Chair of Innovation, Creativity and Learning (INCREA)).
The following people spoke at the opening ceremony: david cabedo, vice-rector for Innovation, Transfer and Scientific Dissemination; Marisa Flor, director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the UJI; Juan Antonio Bertolin, director of Espaitec; and Vicente Nebot, VP SECOT Castellón.
During the session, Andreea Mara, participant in the 7th edition of the program and founder of CircularscoreShe has shared her experience as an entrepreneur leading an environmental sustainability consultancy that helps companies design and implement strategies aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals through artificial intelligence.
In this ninth edition, which will run until May, participants will receive training to help them develop from an initial idea into a viable business project. Specifically, they will learn to identify problems, validate ideas, develop communication and marketing strategies, and manage conflicts, among other topics. UJISTartup also offers personalized mentoring from professionals at SECOT.
Participants whose projects successfully complete the training program will receive recognition for the skills they have acquired. This document can be used as part of the process for obtaining the official certificate in entrepreneurial skills awarded by the UJI.
UJIStartup Projects
The participating proposals cover a variety of topics, such as the development of mobile applications to connect companies with potential customers, initiatives to promote social connection and combat isolation, digital platforms focused on well-being and holistic health, communication and digital marketing strategies geared towards the business environment, and projects linked to the sports and leisure sector, such as equestrian clubs.
