Companies, professionals and citizens have mainly participated in this foundation’s activities that took place in 2017 to bring the importance of energy efficiency closer to society.
The Trust of the Foundation for energy efficiency in the Valencian Community (f2e) has passed its 2017 accountancy and amended its statutes to extend its activities towards disseminating and conserving the natural environment, but still performs its energy-efficiency activities. This agreement was reached during the Trust’s last meeting to which the Castellón Mayoress, Amparo Marco attended, as well as the now the former Rector of the Universitat Jaume I, Vicent Climent, whose last speech took place at Fundación f2e.
With this change, it expects to start training, raising awareness and disseminating to companies, professionals and citizens in general about how to improve the natural environment. It continues to encourage energy efficiency as both these activities complement one another and seek to improve air quality, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and reverse climate change.
Citizens have positively responded to all the activities organised by fundación f2e throughout 2017, whose participation in them all has considerably increased compared to previous years. This has allowed Fundación f2e to fulfil its main objective: to raise society’s awareness about the importance of energy efficiency by bringing it closer through different activities.
More than 2,200 people have participated in the free MOOC courses (massive open online courses) about energy efficiency that Fundación f2e organised in 2017; more than 1,000 people attended its conferences and events in person, and more than 5,000 people receive its newsletter. Thus its presence in social networks is growing, and its website receives more visits than in former years.
