Increasing in value the group’s research results is one of the objectives of this spin-off partly owned by the Castellón University.
Energy Apps started up in 2014 to design, develop and commercialise equipment and applications to control the use of electricity in homes and other commercial and industrial buildings. This company develops remote-control devices and systems that measure and monitor any use of electricity, and implements energy management systems. With the solutions developed by Energy Apps, any organisation can obtain a detailed control of its uses, and simply and realistically evaluate different energy-saving alternatives.
«Our company came about with the idea that it is increasingly more important to efficiently use energy for economic and environmental reasons. To do so, it is necessary to measure and control different uses in industry, public buildings or in the domestic sector», states Enrique Belenguer, an Electric Engineering teacher of the Universitat Jaume I and a partner of this company «As it is a technology-based company promoted by the Universitat Jaume I, the link with espaitec emerges naturally to receive support to increase in value and commercialise its research results», Belenguer states.
