This event will inform about a new series of “S2B & B2S transfer” events organised by espaitec and OCIT to encourage technology and knowledge transfer between the University and Companies
The application of information and communication technologies (ICT) to the health area has led to a recent R&D&I field that sets the objective of making good use of the enormous potential of ICT tools to develop new solutions in order to promote people’s health and well-being. This is the so-called e-Health or digital health area, which the Universitat Jaume I (UJI) has been working on intensely for some years to put into practice knowledge that comes from its pioneering decision to use ICT in the health area from which society demands better solutions.
In order to learn about the UJI digital health technologies offer in detail, the Cooperation Office for Technological Research and Development (OCIT) and the Science, Technology and Business Park of the Universitat Jaume I (espaitec) are organising the free event entitled “ITC applied to health developed at the Universitat Jaume I: research, keys, trends and solutions commercialised by espaitec-linked companies” for Wednesday 18 April in the Multipurpose Hall of the espaitec 2 building
This transfer event will show the various approaches, capacities and techniques that UJI research groups offer, and the innovative solutions developed and commercialised by espaitec-linked companies. During this event, five research projects undertaken on the Riu Sec Campus will be presented, along with four solutions commercialised by companies that operate at this Park in the city of Castellón. The agenda of the event can be consulted here and this registration form is to confirm attendance beforehand as seating is limited.
This event is open to the whole university community and the business fabric in Castellón interested in ICT and health, especially professionals from the medical sector, researchers from other universities and start-ups that operate in the digital health sector. The event has two objectives: one, to favour the transfer of knowledge and technology among UJI research groups and espaitec-related companies; two, to allow the business fabric in the province of Castellón to know the trends, novelties and research developed in e-Health in espaitec’s ecosystem environment.
This event is supported by the Regional Valencian Ministry of Education, Research, Culture and Sport of the Generalitat Valenciana and forms part of a series of communication actions organised by espaitec to encourage the dissemination of science and technology in the province of Castellón.
